End of Week One

Well it’s been a whole week and then some since I started my job here in Thailand.  It’s going well.  I’m settling in, finding  my way around the network and getting to know people and they’re responsibilities.

Tomorrow the GM of Exploration will in the office – he’ll be here for a week.  I’ve not met him in person yet – there was a 30 minute interview on Skype.  I’m sure we’ll work well together (well I’m hoping we do *grin*).

Just a quick one today – I’ve just spent the last hour and a haf watching the Asian Food Channel where – luckily – there are a number of english speaking shows and those that aren’t have sub-titles.  There was a show called Chopped – kind of like Masterchef – but all done in one show.  It starts with 4 chefs – they get ingredients they must use and half an hour to prepare a dish ( they get told, entrée or dessert etc).  Anyway the least popular dish for each round gets chopped.  Nice and quick *grin*.
